Over on this little corner of the internet, we spend a rather sizeable amount of time sharing our opinions about the capital city<\/strong>. And as much as we enjoy doing so, we thought it was about time that we let you lovely lot put your two cents in instead. So, we asked the Secret London Instagram followers<\/strong> to tell us which of London\u2019s 32 boroughs<\/a> they believe to be the best of the bunch. And, as expected, they delivered in spades.<\/p>\n

Something that became abundantly clear is that some of our followers aren\u2019t entirely clued up on what constitutes as a borough (spoiler alert: Slough and \u2018Palma in Spain\u2019<\/strong> do not). But sprinkled amongst some slightly sillier responses (\u2018all is shit\u2019 being a particularly delightful one); we managed to uncover your favourite borough of all<\/strong>. So, without further ado, folks \u2013 the results are in.<\/p>\n

Topping the charts as the best borough in London is Islington<\/strong>. The north London neighbourhood is no stranger to an accolade, having recently been named the best place to live in London<\/a> by leading lifestyle publication, Muddy Stilettos. It comes as no surprise that our followers are fond of Islington<\/a>. I mean, it\u2019s a pretty dreamy spot, after all. It somehow manages to seamlessly blend the lively atmosphere<\/strong> of a the city with a quaint-and-quiet village<\/a> vibe. And it\u2019s certainly got a whole lot to offer.<\/p>\n

Islington is home to an extensive offering of eateries<\/a>, with independent cafes, restaurants and bars at every turn. There\u2019s plenty of green space, the gorgeous Regent\u2019s Canal<\/strong>, and plenty of culture waiting to be soaked up, too. The swanky borough of Kensington and Chelsea<\/strong> nabbed second place, and hip-and-happening Wandsworth<\/strong> came in third.<\/p>\n
