Prince William<\/a><\/strong> recently made comments about his plans for the monarchy once he becomes king. He said he was excited to bring change to the royal family, and reflected on issues with his own upbringing. Apparently not everyone was thrilled by these words, though. King Charles<\/a><\/strong> is said to be upset with his oldest son, allegedly leading to yet another rift in the splintered family.<\/p>\n

William has spoken about his desire to upgrade the royal family recently. The future king said he is \u201cexcited\u201d to bring change to the monarchy<\/a>. He also reflected on his own childhood, and how he wants to raise his kids.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI think it\u2019s really important that the atmosphere is created at home. You have to have that feeling of warmth, that feeling of safety, security, and love. \u201cMy parents got divorced\u2026 so that lasted a short period of time.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to reports, Charles isn\u2019t too pleased with these comments, per Radar Online<\/a>. Apparently, the pair aren\u2019t even on speaking terms, with the pair\u2019s relationship now deteriorated into \u201ctotal silence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Royal insider Phil Dampier told Women\u2019s Day: \u201cBringing up the failure of Charles and Diana\u2019s marriage doesn\u2019t achieve much and smacks of Harry\u2019s [complaining].\u201d<\/p>\n

Another insider said: \u201cThat hurt, and although the king won\u2019t say anything in return, he was deeply upset by some of what William said. Sometimes he feels he is being undermined on all sides.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reports come after last week\u2019s announcement that Prince Andrew will give up his royal titles and honors. It\u2019s been said that William and Charles have been at odds over how to deal with the disgraced Duke. Sources claim William thinks his dad is too soft on his scandal-laden uncle, and has plans to oust him even further<\/a> once he becomes king.<\/p>\n
