Wallace appeared in great spirits post-workout, sporting gray tie-dye leggings, a long-sleeve tee, sneakers, and a blue cozy fleece for the temperamental fall weather.<\/p>\n

The certified Scream Queener shot to fame after playing Mary Taylor, the single mother to little Elliott, Michael, and Gertie\u00a0 in Steven Spielberg’s 1982 world-wide smash. <\/p>\n

Later in the day, she was spotted with her longtime partner, Lanny Tiefer. The couple looked very animated and deep in conversation as they strolled outside in LA.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Wallace went on to make a name for herself as a horror movie star, appearing in many films including The Stepford Wives, The Hills Have Eyes, The Howling, and Cujo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her career began in the mid-70s when she took on small roles in television shows such as The Streets Of San Francisco, Ellery Queen, Police Woman and Hart To Hart.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 1975, she starred in the movie The Stepford Wives \u2013 which also starred Katharine Ross, Paula Prentiss, Peter Masterson and Nanette Newman.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two years later, Wallace took on a bigger role in the 1977 horror flick The Hills Have Eyes \u2013 which was written and directed by Wes Craven.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And in 1981, she continued to appear in movies in the genre, such as The Howling, which notably won the Saturn Award for Best Horror Film.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The following year, Dee catapulted to fame after taking on the role in E.T.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In an interview with SYFY<\/a> in 2022, Wallace reflected on starring in the movie and working alongside the star-studded cast and the critically-acclaimed director.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I don’t remember it being chaotic at all,’ she expressed. ‘The kids were totally professional … they weren’t Hollywood kids. Most of them were just starting out.’<\/p>\n

The three siblings were played by Henry Thomas, then 10, Robert MacNaughton, 14, and Barrymore, who was just seven.<\/p>\n

‘Robert, [who played] the eldest son, had had a lot more experience, especially onstage, and he was just amazing. Henry, had had a couple of films by that time underneath his belt, I think.’<\/p>\n

Wallace added: ‘And Drew was just, “HI! I’M DREW AND I’M GONNA TAKE OVER THE PLACE!” So whenever they had breaks, if they weren’t in school, they were out playing, shooting hoops, or in Steven’s office, playing with the arcade games he had.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
