A Birmingham man was due before court today, Monday October 20, after hundreds of pounds’ worth of stock was allegedly stolem from shops across Sandwell.<\/p>\n

Ashley Mills of Watery Lane Middleway in Birmingham was due before Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.<\/p>\n

He was charged following a series of thefts, which police say occurred in Smethwick and Cradley Heath.<\/p>\n

35-year-old Mills was charged with robbery and theft.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> issued a statement on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “A man has been charged after hundreds of pounds of items were stolen from stores in Sandwell<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Ashley Mills, aged 35 from Birmingham<\/a> has been charged with robbery and theft.<\/p>\n

“He was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (20 Oct).<\/p>\n

“This comes after hundreds of pounds of items were taken from a shop in Smethwick<\/a> on 12 October and alcohol totalling \u00a3300 was stolen from Cradley Heath.”<\/p>\n
