Despite reports insisting that the pair \u2014 who are also set to star together in a film from Mission: Impossible director Christopher McQuarrie \u2014 are “just friends,”<\/a> speculation has run rampant with every snapped photo of potential PDA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So what’s the truth? Well, a new report from People<\/a> suggests that the so-called couple definitely aren’t a couple right now \u2014 and, as some have suspected, they may never have been at all.<\/p>\n

A source close to Ana says that Tom has been a “dear friend and mentor” to her, and she “very much enjoys spending time with him.” But!<\/p>\n

“She’s single, though, and has been for a while,” the source adds. “She stays in touch with Tom and they still have an upcoming movie project that she’s looking forward to.”<\/p>\n
