\n\tTina Fey<\/a> is clarifying details about the alleged\u00a0Golden Girls\u00a0remake that was in development.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a recent interview, the 30 Rock star and creator addressed the viral poster of The Golden Girls<\/a> that was shared on social media. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOh, this. I did know about this,\u201d she told Entertainment Tonight<\/a>. \u201cI like that this was fooling people. Like, why would we ever take a picture where Amy and Lisa Kudrow are in costume, but we\u2019re not? If this fooled you, you might be a Boomer. And if you\u2019re Gen X, and this fooled you, go to a hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe fake post claimed Disney+ had ordered a remake of the classic sitcom starring Fey as Dorothy, Amy Poehler as Sophia, Lisa Kudrow as Rose, and Maya Rudolph as Blanche.<\/p>\n

\n\tFey says that she \u201cwould never touch\u201d the sitcom and produce a remake, adding, \u201cThe original is \u2026 those ladies can\u2019t be touched.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMaya Rudolph was asked about the viral image when she made an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers<\/a> and said she found it \u201cfascinating\u201d and \u201cgood to know,\u201d it was out there.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter looking at the fake poster, Rudolph was confused as to which character she would be playing.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think they gave up,\u201d Rudolph said, noting only Poehler and Kudrow were made to look older, but not she or Fey.<\/p>\n
