Disturbing mobile phone footage captures two schoolboys clinging to the rear of a bus before it pulled onto a busy main road.<\/p>\n

The horror clip – recorded by a stunned onlooker on their phone – shows the pair gripping onto the back of a Bee Network bus close to the Trafford Centre<\/a> in Manchester yesterday (Oct 19).<\/p>\n

The youngsters – both wearing dark jackets – had scrambled onto the rear of a number 52 service operating between Failsworth<\/a> and Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 12-second recording was captured at Ellesmere Circle roundabout as the vehicle travelled along Redclyffe Road.<\/p>\n

They reportedly maintained their grip for a full minute before releasing their hold.<\/p>\n

The duo are said to have mounted the bus’s rear at the roundabout before it departed.<\/p>\n

A third youngster can be seen in the footage fleeing from the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The member of the public who filmed the boys – who wishes to remain anonymous – said: “Three boys were waiting at the roundabout for a bus to stop, then jumped on the back.<\/p>\n

“They kept slipping off at first but two managed to hold on.<\/p>\n

“They went round the roundabout and were still clinging on when we passed them towards the Trafford centre.<\/p>\n

“They hung on for ages.<\/p>\n

“There was another bus behind and was beeping trying to get the driver’s attention so he would stop.”<\/p>\n

Yesterday, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) condemned the youngsters’ behaviour, labelling it “incredibly dangerous”.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson said: “This is incredibly dangerous behaviour which could have catastrophic consequences. It’s also a criminal offence.<\/p>\n

“We’d urge all parents and guardians to speak to their children about the dangers of this kind of behaviour.<\/p>\n
