Liverpool trained with 22 players ahead of their Champions League<\/a> trip to Frankfurt, with no sign of their struggling form dampening the mood at the AXA Training Centre.<\/b><\/p>\n

Arne Slot<\/a> and his squad were all smiles as they worked in the Kirkby drizzle on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the flight to Frankfurt.<\/p>\n

Following their 2-1 defeat to Man United<\/a> on Sunday the Reds are now on a run of four consecutive defeats \u2013 and one more would mean their worst stretch of losses since 1953.<\/p>\n

Liverpool were dealt a further setback at the weekend with Ryan Gravenberch<\/a> picking up an ankle injury, and the midfielder was not part of the open session.<\/p>\n

Wataru Endo<\/a> was back involved, however, and the squad were in high spirits as they were put through their paces by Slot and coaches Giovanni van Bronckhorst<\/a>, Aaron Briggs and Ruben Peeters.<\/p>\n

There were no other new absentees and no further promotions from the academy, with Trey Nyoni<\/a> and Rio Ngumoha<\/a> the only youngsters involved.<\/p>\n

Armin Pecsi<\/a> was one of the goalkeepers working as part of the first-team ranks though and the Hungarian is expected to be temporarily drafted into Liverpool\u2019s Champions League<\/a> squad to cover Alisson<\/a>\u2018s absence.<\/p>\n

Alexis Mac Allister<\/a> does not appear to be suffering any effects of the head injury picked up early on against Man United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The No. 10 required stitches and played on with a protective cap but any concerns over a concussion were allayed with his involvement in training.<\/p>\n

Slot could shuffle his deck after naming an unchanged side at the weekend, not least with his choice of replacement for Gravenberch.<\/p>\n

Endo may be considered but having only just recovered from a hamstring problem the more likely stand-in would be Curtis Jones<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jones could come into the side along with the likes of Jeremie Frimpong<\/a>, Florian Wirtz<\/a>, Hugo Ekitike<\/a> and perhaps even Federico Chiesa<\/a>.<\/p>\n
