Damage was caused to a police vehicle during the collision<\/p>\n
Two police officers have been treated in hospital after their vehicle was rammed following a collision in Co Armagh.<\/p>\n
It happened on Monday as the PSNI responded to a crash in the Jonesborough area at around 1pm. <\/p>\n
Neighbourhood Policing Team officers were in a vehicle with lights flashing and sirens sounding when a black Toyota sped away on Edenappa Road.<\/p>\n
“The Toyota, which was not involved in the initial collision report, then struck the police vehicle along with an approaching Citreon van,\u201d a PSNI spokesperson said. <\/p>\n
“The police vehicle was also pushed by the force of the collision into the rear of a Skoda which had been travelling in front.<\/p>\n
“The Toyota then made off from the scene in the direction of the border.<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth officers required hospital treatment but have returned to duty today. The police vehicle will now be off the road for a period for repairs.<\/p>\n
