Coronation Street’s Carl Webster is set to put another plan in motion to try and manipulate his brother Kevin, sinking to another low.<\/p>\n

Carl’s affair with Kevin’s wife Abi was recently exposed to everyone, tearing the family apart. Not only is Kevin and Abi’s marriage over, and Jack isn’t talking to her, but Kevin is furious at his sister Debbie after he learned that she knew about the affair.<\/p>\n

In scenes set to air soon, Kevin goes to Debbie and tells her he’d like to move on from their falling out as he misses her.<\/p>\n

Debbie, who only found out about the affair shortly before it was exposed for everyone, is pleased that she and Kevin are friends again.<\/p>\n

Following that, Carl suggests to Kevin that the two brothers all bury their hatchet, stating that it would be best for Debbie as her dementia<\/a> is getting worse.<\/p>\n

The thing is, Debbie’s dementia isn’t progressing anywhere near as rapidly as Carl is making out, something that the soap’s boss Kate Brooks recently reassured fans was the case<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Debbie’s got ages and ages!” she said. “We’re not galloping our way through the story at all… This story is really in its infancy. Yes, there are some times when she will forget things, but she’s living with it.<\/p>\n

“She’s not just a person who has dementia \u2013 she’s not defined by it at all. Her stories are not defined by it either, for a really long time.”<\/p>\n

So Carl is just emotionally blackmailing Kevin here, but will he agree with Carl’s plan or call him out?<\/p>\n

Brooks did say that Debbie is “desperate for her family to get back on an even keel, for her brothers Carl and Kevin to be united again”, so even if the two men don’t bury their hatchet now, perhaps they could in future?<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, it’s obvious that Carl isn’t over the moon<\/a> about having a proper relationship with Abi, and there’s still his secret fling with James Bailey<\/a> just waiting to be revealed.<\/p>\n
