Birmingham City picked up two new issues very early on at Preston North End<\/p>\n

Bright Osayi-Samuel will miss Birmingham City\u2019s<\/a> trip to Bristol City after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season.<\/p>\n The right-back was a late introduction to the Blues line-up against Preston North End on Tuesday evening after Patrick Roberts<\/a> pulled up at the end of the warm up.<\/p>\n Osayi-Samuel<\/a> has only just recovered from a foot injury and was named on the bench for the second successive game before being drafted in minutes before kick-off.<\/p>\n The Nigeria international will sit this weekend\u2019s trip to Bristol City out after being penalised for a foul in the 12th minute at Deepdale by referee Lewis Smith.<\/p>\n Osayi-Samuel tripped Daniel Jebbison as Preston looked to break away following a Blues corner.<\/p>\n The booking is Osayi-Samuel\u2019s fifth after previous cautions against Ipswich, Blackburn, Stoke and Swansea.<\/p>\n With Ethan Laird out injured and Alfons Sampsted out of favour, Chris Davies will likely shift Tomoki Iwata back to right-back when Blues travel to Ashton Gate on Saturday.<\/p>\n Roberts’ injury creates another issue going into that match for Davies.
