The company, which has been part of the Region since 1939, emphasizes hiring local candidates who know the communities they serve. Currently, the distributor has open positions across three departments with opportunities to grow within the company.

“Right now, we’re focused on filling driver trainee openings in South Bend, warehouse pickers, and full-time merchandiser roles in La Porte County and South Bend,” said Debbie Walls, Human Resources Manager. “We’re always looking for people who want to work hard, grow with us, and be part of a strong, supportive team.”

Indiana Beverage is headquartered in Valparaiso and serves 12 counties across Northern Indiana. The company’s three districts — East around South Bend, Central in Porter and La Porte counties, and West in Lake County — all share a focus on local hiring and community connection.

“It’s a culture that’s based around teamwork. We’re very competitive. We’re looking for people that want the same kind of culture or growth opportunities. They’re willing to get their foot in the door, get themselves noticed, and work their way up through the company. We pride ourselves in our people. We work hard and have fun. We’re out there to win in the market, and we really support our team members. Whether it’s within the same department or other departments, we all have the same goal. We want to be selling as much of our product as possible and keep retail partners, consumers, and our suppliers happy,” Walls said.

Many employees start in entry-level positions and work their way up, and the company emphasizes promoting from within whenever possible. Indiana Beverage is primarily hiring in three departments: warehouse pickers, merchandisers, and delivery.

Warehouse pickers build pallets in the night warehouse at the Valparaiso location, organizing and preparing products for delivery.

“Warehouse pickers are one of our most common positions,” Walls said. “They build pallets and load trucks to make sure everything’s ready to go out the next morning. Shifts run Sunday through Thursday from about 3:45 p.m. to 9:30 or 10 p.m., making the role a good fit for college students or anyone seeking part-time evening work. Many of our pickers are college students paying their way through school or people looking to gain hands-on experience. It’s also a great way to get your foot in the door for future roles.”

Merchandisers manage product displays and ensure freshness in grocery stores and retail locations across the Region.

“Merchandisers are the face of our company in the stores,” Walls said. “They rotate products, build displays, and make sure everything looks good. It’s a physically demanding job, but it’s also how most people start here before moving into sales roles.”

Indiana Beverage currently has full-time merchandiser openings in South Bend and LaPorte County.

In South Bend, Indiana Beverage is hiring driver trainees, an entry-level delivery position with hands-on CDL training.

“Trainees come in once a week to our Valparaiso warehouse to practice with our supervisors, and the rest of the week they ride along with a driver. They’re learning the routes, our systems, and helping deliver beer. They get out at each stop, handle cases, and see what a day in the life of a driver is really like,” Walls said.

The program includes a promissory note, which ensures trainees understand the value of the training and agree to work at least two years with the company.

“If someone stays for at least two years, the training doesn’t cost them anything,” Walls said. “If they leave early, there’s a balance due, but it’s still significantly less than attending a truck driving school on their own. Our drivers are also home every night, which is something people really value.”

Once licensed, trainees eventually move into full-time driver positions, already familiar with the trucks, accounts, and territory. Walls believes it is a great way to gain hands-on experience and potentially start a long-term career with the company.

Full-time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off. After one year of employment, employees are eligible for a 401(k) with company match. Hiring local remains a core focus for the company.

“When employees live in the communities we serve, they understand the customers and the stores,” Walls said. “It builds stronger relationships and better service.”

After more than 85 years in business, Indiana Beverage continues to grow while maintaining the values that helped build its reputation.

“We’re looking for people right now,” Walls said. “Whether it’s a driver trainee, a merchandiser, or a warehouse picker, we have openings and we want motivated individuals to join our team today.”

For more information or to apply, visit indianabev.com.

Indiana Beverage, a family-owned distributor serving all of Northern Indiana, is actively hiring for a variety of positions…

[3092
51,897,16,15
0":"post-518629","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-jobs","8":"tag-business","9":"tag-jobs","10":"tag-uk","11":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
