He takes a step up in class now, but looks an improved model for the new Flat season and can continue to progress.<\/p>\n

Was last seen finishing an unlucky second in the Britannia Handicap at the Royal meeting last June, flashing home from the back of the pack. It was a little surprising that we didn\u2019t see him after yet he\u2019s a low-mileage model who is open to any amount of improvement. Skukuza<\/strong> is the one in this field who still may have the ability to climb up the ratings.<\/p>\n

Trainer William Haggas has had him gelded for his return to action and the likely quicker surface is clearly going to help him, having struggled in the mud last Autumn. He hasn\u2019t been with the team too long so we can expect a pinch of improvement from a current rating of just 84. Sam Hawkens<\/strong> is also the sole runner on the card for the yard, making the long trek up from Newmarket.<\/p>\n

The switch of yards to Michael Bell had the desired effect for his return at Yarmouth, when bolting up for the new stable. Dorney Lake<\/strong> was towards the rear on a speed-favouring track so the performance can be upgraded. The handicapper has had his say yet a revised mark of 87 is nowhere near his ceiling rating on back form.<\/p>\n

19:30 Doncaster \u2013 Gis A Sub<\/a><\/p>\n

He has fallen from a peak rating of 106 to 59 and put up a good performance when going down by half a length at Wolverhampton at the end of March. Gis A Sub<\/strong> has been given a little bit of time to get back bouncing for his return to the turf. It\u2019s a career-low rating and this looks like the last chance saloon for him.<\/p>\n
