{"id":519915,"date":"2025-10-22T15:22:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T15:22:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/519915\/"},"modified":"2025-10-22T15:22:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T15:22:13","slug":"iain-dales-very-bad-brexit-reading-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/519915\/","title":{"rendered":"Iain Dale&#8217;s very bad Brexit reading list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cI think the Chancellor needs to put this book on her reading list, given her comments today,\u201d posted LBC presenter Iain Dale on Bluesky this week, with a link to the online bookseller Politicos (operator: one Iain Dale).<\/p>\n<p>Dale was responding to Rachel Reeves\u2019s Pope-is-Catholic proclamation that Boris Johnson\u2019s botched Brexit deal had caused long-term damage to the UK economy by posting a link to 75 Brexit Benefits by Gully Foyle, a pseudonymous X user.<\/p>\n<p>New World readers may have read an excoriating review of \u2018Foyle\u2019\u2019s book by Jonty Bloom last week under the headline \u2018The worst pro-Brexit book ever written\u2019. Bloom wrote that \u201cif this is the best that its supporters can come up with, I am afraid it counts more as another condemnation of the enormous level of self-inflicted harm that Brexit has forced on us.
