Life under Danny Rohl begins for Rangers<\/a> and there’s little margin for error.<\/p>\n

The German will make his Gers dugout debut in Norway against SK Brann and the Light Blues needs wins on the continent as well as at home.<\/p>\n

Defeats to Genk and Sturm Graz under Russell Martin have ensured a fight to be in contention for the Europa League<\/a> knockout stage.<\/p>\n

But Rohl<\/a> has experience of European football at the highest level as a coach with Bayern Munich.<\/p>\n

The buck stops with him however and there will be little in the way of a grace period before judgements are made, especially if there’s not an obvious improvement.<\/p>\n

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss isn’t looking too far ahead either.<\/a> Successive wins are his short-term goal to get some much needed confidence back into a team that has to get used to winning again.<\/p>\n

Danny Rohl can get his Rangers career off to a flier with a much-needed Europa League win in Bergen. It will be a British-type game which should suit Rangers.<\/p>\n

The home side will try to get after them early on and use the atmosphere to their advantage.<\/p>\n

But if Rangers can weather that and use Djeidi Gassama as an outlet on the break, he can be their game changer in Europe again.<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s first 45 minutes against Dundee United demonstrated what Gers can do now they\u2019ve freed themselves from Russell Martin\u2019s idealistic shackles but the second half was another reminder of why the club are in such a mess. Danny Rohl will hope to inject some pace and intensity into the lethargic Light Blues but it won\u2019t be a quick fix. A draw on the road would be a decent start for the German.<\/p>\n
