Claire’s in Sheffield citty centre will soon close<\/p>\n
A big name Sheffield shop will soon close due to a retailer’s struggles.<\/p>\n
Those who have visited The Moor in recent days might well have noticed \u2018closing down\u2019 signs in the window of Claire\u2019s. As we\u2019ve previously reported<\/a>, Claire\u2019s Accessories has faced challenges over the last few months. Administrators were appointed in August for its UK and Ireland business – the brand filed for bankruptcy in America.<\/p>\n The fashion accessories chain agreed to sell 156 shops to investment group Modella Capital in a rescue deal. Although, 145 stores were not saved, resulting in around 1,000 job losses. A banner in the window of the Sheffield city centre Claire\u2019s reads: \u201cEverything must go.\u201d<\/p>\n There\u2019s currently a 40 per cent off sale ongoing on products.
