Studios<\/a>, to coincide with the Regional Investment Summit taking place in <a href=\"https:\/\/plus.expressandstar.com\/news\/local-hubs\/birmingham\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Edgbaston.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Two major projects were announced during this event, the first of which being the Warwick Bar Prospectus, sets out a vision of an area covering the size of 22 football pitches with the potential of 1,700 new homes and 110,000sq ft of creative workspaces.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/bb2a42c8-b8c3-49fd-a886-6662cc022d4a.jpg\"   alt=\"Culture secretary Lisa Nandy at Digbeth Loc. PIC: Department for Culture, Media &amp; Sport.<\/p>\n<p>The second project saw the announcement of Production Central WM, which is a new film production office to connect producers with set locations, local crew and suppliers needed to bring more big and small screen blockbusters to the region.<\/p>\n<p>Other major regeneration projects going on in Digbeth include an extension of the Metro tram route and BBC\u2019s conversion of the former derelict Tea Factory.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Nandy compared the work going on in Digbeth to the development of Media City in her native Greater Manchester, which she said proved to be a \u201cgame changer\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/f09b4d57-bfb6-4bb2-a844-58c54ee15e4f.jpg\"   alt=\"Culture secretary Lisa Nandy and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight at Digbeth Loc. PIC: Department for Culture, Media &amp; Sport.<\/p>\n<p>The Digbeth announcements came on the day the Mayor, Chancellor Rachel Reeves and Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Peter Kyle co-hosted the Regional Investment Summit in Edgbaston.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Nandy said: \u201cHere in Digbeth Loc.
