Legend has it that on May 19th – the anniversary of Anne’s execution – her headless ghost wanders the halls, carrying her severed head. The ghost of Anne’s father, Thomas Boleyn, is also said to haunt the property. Because of his greed and ambition he was cursed to cross a dozen Norfolk bridges before cockcrow for a thousand years: his route begins at Blicking and ends at Wroxham.

Aston Hall, Aston, Birmingham, 21st December 1960. But when it was built in the 17th century for its first owner Thomas Holte, it was firmly a rural idyll. Among the ghosts seen in its grounds are the Green Lady, believed to be Holte’s housekeeper, and the spirit of his daughter Elizabeth, who was prevented from marrying the man she wanted and kept in captivity for 16 years, until, it is said, she lost her mind and died.

Berry Pomeroy, Devon, UK, 2 December 2015 – Showing Berry Pomeroy castle ruins, which is said to be haunted by several ghosts, the white and blue lady, showing the wall of the old manor house statley home of the Pomeroy family,Sebastien-Coell

When Pendennis was besieged during the Civil War, the castle occupants were forced to slaughter their horses for…

[5008
748,33783,393,4884,10838,16,15,114056
0":"post-522107","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-england","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-destinations","10":"tag-england","11":"tag-great-britain","12":"tag-halloween","13":"tag-uk","14":"tag-united-kingdom","15":"tag-weekend-ideas
["GET
