Meghan Markle has been placed at the top of a “most disliked celebrity” ranking, amassing 48,000 votes. The list, compiled by Ranker.com places celebrities at a position depending on where their viewers have put them, Meghan<\/a> came in at number one, while Prince Harry<\/a> wasn’t far behind, ranking as the third most disliked celebrity.<\/p>\n

The couple have been at the centre of controversy ever since their departure from the UK<\/a> in what was dubbed at the time as ” Megxit<\/a>.” Since relocating to the US, they’ve embraced a more private life while taking on various ventures, including Netflix projects and hosting multiple awards ceremonies.<\/p>\n

They recently faced fresh criticism after Meghan joined the panel for Fortune’s Most Powerful Women and both she and Harry received a humanitarian award, moves that drew backlash from talk show hosts on both sides of the Atlantic, the Express<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

They have continued to be a hot topic for audiences both in the UK and US ever since their rapid move to America shortly after marrying and welcoming their first child. Meghan and Harry’s high ranking on the list has generated widespread discussion, with people voicing their opinions.<\/p>\n

One user took to X, formally Twitter, writing: “Meghan Markle is deemed the most disliked celebrity of the year AGAIN”. While another said: “And people said she’d never be successful at anything! Congratulations Megs, we have faith that you’ll continue to do well in this category.”<\/p>\n

A third user joked: “After she saw this, to improve her image, she shed some fake tears and made sure the photographer captured that tear while at her friend’s sport event.” As a fourth fumed: “She can’t read a room! Everyone is tired of her. We know exactly who she is and the more she forces herself on everyone the more she proves us right!”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, some critics argued that Meghan shouldn’t even be classified as a “celebrity,” while others were outraged that she secured the top spot on the list.<\/p>\n

Meghan and Harry took places one and three on the list, with Sean Combs taking the second spot. The disgraced celebrity, known as P Diddy was sentenced to over four years in prison earlier this month after being convicted on prostitution-related charges involving his two ex girlfriends.<\/p>\n

Other well-known figures on the list included Oprah Winfrey at number four, Jada Pinkett Smith at number five and Ellen DeGeneres at number six.<\/p>\n

Chrissy Teigen, Amber Heard, Billy Cosby and Kris Jenner also featured, also landing within the top 10.<\/p>\n
