Coronation Street<\/a> and Emmerdale <\/a>have confirmed the first two characters who are set to appear in an upcoming soap crossover in a major update.<\/p>\n As viewers get ready to experience one of the most anticipated moments in TV history, ITV has released two images of filming on an episode dubbed Corriedale.<\/p>\n Exclusive photos reveal DS Lisa Swain and Aaron Dingle will be among the iconic characters starring in the drama-filled hour-long special, which will air in January<\/p>\n Having taken on the first of a series of exhilarating night shoots, the photos show actors Vicky Myers and Danny Miller together in a rare behind the scenes moment before action was called.<\/p>\n Corrie fans know that Lisa’s life on the cobbles has been thrown into chaos these last few weeks after the return from the dead of her police wife ex Becky.<\/p>\n As the milestone episode, commissioned to launch ITV\u2019s new Soaps power hour schedule which will see each soap air for 30 mins every weeknight, approaches, viewers will be more convinced than ever that there\u2019s a more sinister side to Becky lurking beneath.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, over in the Dales, Danny\u2019s character Aaron has seen off his ex husband, killer John Sugden, but just as things were looking back on track with the love of his life, Robert Sugden, Robert\u2019s secret prison husband, Kev, turned up.<\/p>\n It\u2019s safe to say things aren\u2019t going to be straightforward for this couple anytime soon.<\/p>\n What leads Lisa and Aaron to find their lives intertwined on a dark and foreboding night in January? And which other Coronation Street and Emmerdale favourites will feature in the action packed and climactic episode?<\/p>\n While the exact plot is being kept under wraps, it has been confirmed that the one-off one hour spectacular will feature explosive scenes, nail biting drama and never before seen interactions between some of the nation\u2019s most loved soap characters.<\/p>\n On what\u2019s due to be must see TV for any soap fan, Vicky said: “To be involved in this unique, bold, innovative, not to mention history-making episode, in Coronation Street\u2019s 65th year, (well, when we are filming it at least), is fantastic.<\/p>\n “When I read the script and found out how two worlds collide, who is involved and how the characters interact, not to mention the impact the events of the night will have\u2026 Wow. It\u2019s going to be unmissable.”<\/p>\n She continued: “I couldn\u2019t wait to get started actually. This has been in the pipeline for quite some time and the talented team behind the scenes at Coronation Street and Emmerdale, has worked tirelessly to make this happen.<\/p>\n “They\u2019re incredible. I\u2019m really looking forward to meeting, and working with, people I haven\u2019t met or worked with before, both in front of and behind the camera. It\u2019s incredibly exciting and the camaraderie is great. It\u2019s going to be epic.”<\/p>\n Talking about filming getting underway, Danny explained: “I am made up that Aaron is in the Corriedale episode. Originally from Manchester, Coronation Street has always been an iconic show in our house just as much as Emmerdale. So to cross them both over is a great idea.<\/p>\n “The night shoots have been full on with having young kids but a lot of fun and it’s been great working with the Corrie team.
