Bungie<\/a> has revealed big rewards for players who haven\u2019t played Destiny 2 in a while and are returning in the upcoming Renegades expansion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Destiny 2\u2019s Star Wars-themed expansion, Renegades<\/a>, is just over a month away. Releasing on December 2, 2025, Renegades will add a new activity called Lawless Frontiers<\/a>, a new social hub, Renegades abilities, and, of course, Star Wars-themed weapons, including the Lightsaber, which is called \u201cPraxic Blade\u201d in the Destiny universe. <\/p>\n

Alongside all the new content, Bungie just announced a new system called Orders<\/strong>, which completely replaces the current bounty and seasonal challenge system. But there\u2019s even more good news for those who haven\u2019t logged in recently. <\/p>\n

Destiny 2 Renegades\u2019 Returning Player Bonuses Explained<\/p>\n

In this week\u2019s This Week in Destiny blog<\/a>, Bungie revealed a generous set of returning player bonuses<\/strong> for Destiny 2<\/a>\u2018s upcoming Renegades expansion. How it works is: if you didn\u2019t sign in or earn 30 ranks during Season 27 (Edge of Fate), you\u2019ll automatically be flagged as a Returner when Renegades launches.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

This grants access to the new Returner\u2019s Boon<\/strong>, a set of bonuses that make it easier to progress and earn rewards.<\/p>\n

The Returner\u2019s Boon gives a six-month XP boost<\/strong> across all activities in Destiny 2. Completed Order (the new objective system replacing bounties) also grants a Returner\u2019s Gift<\/strong>, up to ten per week<\/strong> and thirty total<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s basically a fast track to get back into the flow of things while earning new loot along the way.<\/p>\n

Returner\u2019s Gift<\/p>\n

Each Returner\u2019s Gift<\/strong> acts as a small reward package for returning players. Bungie says there are 30 total gifts<\/strong> you can earn by completing Orders. Returner\u2019s Gift has a reward pool of 30 unique items. Some of them are: Enhancement materials<\/strong>, Tier 3 and Tier 4 Gear<\/strong>, Exotic Engrams<\/strong>, 1,000 Bright Dust<\/strong>, and an Iridescent Engram<\/strong> that rolls a random Eververse item you don\u2019t own.<\/p>\n

Returners can also unlock the\u00a0Tower<\/strong> Pamphlet<\/strong> emblem as part of the gift.<\/p>\n

Returner\u2019s Blessing<\/p>\n

Even if you\u2019re not a Returner yourself, you can still get something out of this. If you party up with a returning player who has the Boon active, you\u2019ll automatically receive Returner\u2019s Blessing<\/strong> while you\u2019re with them.<\/p>\n
