{"id":523722,"date":"2025-10-24T03:07:15","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T03:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/523722\/"},"modified":"2025-10-24T03:07:15","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T03:07:15","slug":"daniel-farke-fires-clinical-leeds-warning-shot-to-star-who-is-setting-unwanted-premier-league-trend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/523722\/","title":{"rendered":"Daniel Farke fires &#8216;clinical&#8217; Leeds warning shot to star who is setting unwanted Premier League trend"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Leeds United boss Daniel Farke will be itching to beat West Ham United on Friday evening in the Premier League after losing to fellow promoted side Burnley last time out \u2013 and he\u2019s called upon one of his stars to be much more clinical if they are to pick up points before he sets an unwanted record.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/leeds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leeds<\/a> missed four big chances compared to Burnley\u2019s zero, with the lack of clinical edge meaning a vital 2-0 loss for the Whites in their <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/premier-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Premier League<\/a> clash.<\/p>\n<p>The result now leaves Leeds just three points above the relegation zone in what was undoubtedly a six-pointer in the league.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btbf-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@BeyondTheBackFour?sub_confirmation=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">    <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"object-fit:unset\" src=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/wp-content\/themes\/grv-media\/img\/podcast\/btbf-title.svg\" alt=\"\"\/>   Click to subscribe to the podcast <img decoding=\"async\" style=\"object-fit:unset;height:30px;width:fit-content\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/wp-content\/themes\/grv-media\/img\/podcast\/youtube.svg\" alt=\"\"\/>   <\/a><\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/daniel-farke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daniel Farke<\/a> has fired a warning to striker <a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/topic\/dominic-calvert-lewin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dominic Calvert-Lewin<\/a>, who is so far again proving to be one of the most wasteful strikers in the division.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"702\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/GettyImages-2237766428-1024x702.jpg\" alt=\"Dominic Calvert-Lewin gestures during Leeds United vs Bournemouth\" class=\"wp-image-992600\" \/>Photo by Stu Forster\/Getty ImagesDaniel Farke urges Leeds attackers to find their shooting boots for West Ham clash<\/p>\n<p>Dominic Calvert-Lewin had four shots against Burnley, with an audacious overhead kick in the first half seeing him blaze over, as well as missing three chances with his head in the second half when he should have troubled Martin Dubravka.<\/p>\n<p>Brenden Aaronson and Jack Harrison also missed chances in what was without doubt their worst loss of the campaign, and they\u2019ll need to start scoring in other games.<\/p>\n<p>And Farke has urged his side to kick on against West Ham in what is another huge game down the bottom of the Premier League, with Nuno Espirito Santo\u2019s men massively struggling against Brentford on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Farke told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skysports.com\/football\/video\/12606\/13455746\/daniel-farke-desperate-for-leeds-to-pick-up-more-premier-league-points\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Sky Sports<\/a>: \u201cWe know that we have performed, in many ways, in a really good way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have picked up points in four games, and even the four games where we didn\u2019t win, perhaps apart from the Arsenal away game, by statistics we were the better side.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had more possession, more shots, more expected goals, more possession and we would have deserved many more. I\u2019m delighted and happy with the performances of my team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut we also know the only statistic that really matters are goals. We have to be a bit more clinical in both boxes. We\u2019ve missed too many chances in an away game [vs Burnley] when you have so many clear-cut chances, you need to score at least two or three goals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t manage to do this, and for that we also have to be self-critical a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tbrfootball.com\/wayne-rooney-claims-leeds-united-have-a-good-player-who-is-doing-well-despite-recent-struggles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Calvert-Lewin has struggled so far in his Leeds career<\/a>.
