A decade ago, French design brand Tiptoe<\/strong><\/a> launched with one clever idea: a clamp-on leg that could turn just about any surface into a table. Inspired by French artist Fran\u00e7ois Arnal\u2019s T9 clamp design, Tiptoe\u2019s version quickly caught on. More than 400,000 legs later, it\u2019s become a modern design icon, celebrated for its modularity, durability, and timeless appeal.<\/p>\n

To mark its 10th anniversary, Tiptoe invited 10 designers \u2013 each with a distinct creative voice \u2013 to reinterpret this founding product in their own way for 10 Years \u2013 10 Visions<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

ToeTip by Wendy Andreu<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was important for us to mark Tiptoe\u2019s 10-year anniversary by returning to our founding object and entrusting it to the eyes of others,\u201d share co-founders Vincent Quesada and Matthieu Bourgeaux. \u201cThis project is a way to celebrate what has driven us from the very beginning: the desire to create, to share, and to do things with meaning.\u201d<\/p>\n

What follows is a collection of reimagined designs by Wendy Andreu<\/a>, BIG-GAME<\/a>, Sophie Dries<\/a>, Jean-Baptiste Durand<\/a>, Constance Guisset<\/a>, Rudy Gu\u00e9naire<\/a>, Kann Design<\/a>, Julien Renault<\/a>, Wilmotte<\/a>,<\/strong> and Olimpia Zagnoli<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 all bringing fresh creativity to Tiptoe\u2019s most familiar and iconic form.<\/p>\n

ToeTip by Wendy Andreu<\/p>\n

Wendy Andreu<\/strong><\/a> flips the script \u2013 literally \u2013 with her ToeTip<\/strong><\/a> table, By turning Tiptoe\u2019s iconic clamp leg upside down and multiplying it, she gives the powder-coated steel table an almost anthropomorphic quality with its 18 legs reaching upward, giving the once-supportive element a new role.<\/p>\n

Inox by BIG-GAME<\/p>\n

BIG-GAME<\/a><\/strong>, on the other hand, strips the idea back to its essence. Their Inox<\/strong><\/a> table, made entirely of brushed stainless steel, is minimalist and direct \u2013 a piece that celebrates industrial simplicity and the honest beauty of material.<\/p>\n

VV by Kann Design<\/p>\n

Designed by Kann Design<\/a><\/strong>, the VV<\/strong><\/a> table, named for the two V-shaped crevices in the steel tabletop, is a clever piece of furniture. One side can be used as a standard table, while the V-forms become storage racks for vinyl records, books, or magazines.<\/p>\n

DR\u2013Tiptoe Version by Jean-Baptiste Durand<\/p>\n

As part of his Dystopian Series, Jean-Baptiste Durand<\/strong><\/a> suspends Tiptoe\u2019s clamp leg in a post-industrial object called DR\u2013Tiptoe Version<\/strong><\/a>, blending wires, ceramics, and obsolete LEDs into an artifact that feels both ancient and futuristic.<\/p>\n

Songoe by Sophie Dries<\/p>\n

Sophie Dries<\/strong><\/a> reinterprets her Songye table as Songoe<\/strong><\/a>, combining corten steel legs and a solid oak top. The legs attach in two distinctive ways, balancing sculptural form with structural precision.<\/p>\n

Palm by Rudy Guenaire<\/p>\n

In contrast, Rudy Gu\u00e9naire<\/strong><\/a> reimagines the leg entirely with Palm<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 his American modernist take softens the original\u2019s industrial roots. A frosted glass top rests in between a powder-coated steel clamp that extends downwards as the base, echoing the elegance of the original clamp in a new material dialogue.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 Point by Constance Guisset<\/p>\n

With \u00c0 Point<\/strong><\/a>, Constance Guisset<\/a><\/strong> captures movement mid-gesture. Powder-coated steel legs appear to \u201ccatch\u201d a series of bronze discs, freezing a moment in time with poetic tension.<\/p>\n

Julien Renault<\/a><\/strong>, meanwhile, takes a subtler approach with DXF<\/strong><\/a>, a discreet hook added to the clamp leg, doubling its purpose while preserving its signature simplicity.<\/p>\n

Serre-Livres and Serre-Verres by Wilmotte<\/p>\n

Wilmotte<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0honors craftsmanship and modularity with Serre-Livres<\/strong> and<\/strong> Serre-Verres<\/strong><\/a>, a pair of clamp-on accessories designed to add vertical support to shelves.<\/p>\n

TipToes by Olimipia Zagnoli<\/p>\n

Olimpia Zagnol<\/a>i<\/strong>, in her signature playful spirit, transforms the leg into TipToes<\/strong><\/a>, a bright pink iteration of the leg complete with actual tiny toes, a witty tribute to the brand\u2019s name and joyful sensibility.<\/p>\n

Together, these ten reinterpretations trace the many ways a single idea can evolve \u2013 from functional to poetic, minimal to expressive. For Tiptoe, it\u2019s a fitting tribute to a decade defined by curiosity and collaboration. The humble table leg that started it all continues to stand as a symbol of design made to last, adapt, and inspire.<\/p>\n
