{"id":524283,"date":"2025-10-24T08:36:17","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T08:36:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/524283\/"},"modified":"2025-10-24T08:36:17","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T08:36:17","slug":"global-power-engineering-specialists-uk-arm-sees-turnover-rise-nearly-two-thirds-to-146m-as-projects-scale-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/524283\/","title":{"rendered":"Global power engineering specialist&#8217;s UK arm sees turnover rise nearly two-thirds to \u00a3146m as projects scale up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/constructionwave.co.uk\/?s=skills+shortages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">skills shortages<\/a> remaining a \u201cconcern\u201d, the firm mitigated the risk by focusing on talent development through its apprentice and graduate programmes, with the company increasing its headcount by nearly 100 to <strong>224 employees<\/strong>, from 131 in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The directors did not recommend payment of a dividend, following \u00a31.8 million paid out in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrent year trading to date has been in line with the Board\u2019s expectations,\u201d bosses said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe directors expect the current level of activity to be achievable into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Limerick in Ireland, the wider H&amp;MV Engineering group operates as a design, engineering, and construction services specialist, delivering turnkey solutions for clients, operating in the power infrastructure sector.<\/p>\n<p>To date, the company has 12GW of projects in design and construction, spanning 80 large-scale developments, and employs 1,450 staff across 20 global offices, including Italy, India, and the United States.<\/p>\n<p>It was recently appointed to deliver the 400 kV electrical infrastructure for the UK\u2019s largest, and one of Europe\u2019s largest, <a href=\"https:\/\/constructionwave.co.uk\/?s=Battery+Energy+Storage+Systems\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)<\/a> at Thorpe Marsh, led by Fidra Energy and backed by \u00a3445 million in investment from EIG and the UK Government\u2019s National Wealth Fund, playing a pivotal role in advancing the UK\u2019s clean energy transition.<\/p>\n<p><b>Was this interesting?
