There are merits to each sprawl, from Shoreditch’s foodie scene, to Mayfair’s moneyed gloss, to Primrose Hill’s celeb sightings and panoramic perch. And while it would be unfair (not to mention extremely debatable) to name an enclave that is the city’s most charming, Kensington, with its well-preserved architecture and royal history, ranks pretty high. Grand landmarks, but still a relatively quiet and local vibe. And it’s a place where both billionaires and bourgeois, royals and plebes can find refuge—and plenty of ways to spend a day.
