Three more people have been arrested in connection with the murder of “devoted and caring” father<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kassim Mohammed<\/a>, 32, was shot dead in Watery Street, Sheffield<\/a>, on September 30, prompting an immediate murder probe into his death.<\/a> It brings the number of arrests to six people.<\/p>\n

Three more people were arrested yesterday and today in connection with the death of the “devoted young father, a loving son, and a kind, family-oriented man” – bringing the total number of arrests to six.<\/p>\n

Following several warrants from Merseyside Police executed this morning (October 24), two men, aged 27 and 31, were arrested on suspicion of murder, where they currently remain in custody.<\/p>\n

A 35-year-old man was arrested yesterday (October 23) evening in South Yorkshire<\/a> in connection to the murder. The man remains in police custody.<\/p>\n

Six arrests have been made in connection with the shooting in Upperthorpe(Image: Lyra Auld )<\/p>\n

Prior to this, a 31-year-old woman and two men, aged 22 and 20, were also arrested on suspicion of murder but have since been bailed pending further inquiries.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the investigation, Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector <\/a>Andy Knowles said: “The central focus of the investigation has been the same from day one – providing answers for Kassim’s loved ones.<\/p>\n

“Our investigation has continued at pace since the tragic incident on 30 September which resulted in Kassim’s death. We have now made six arrests in connection with the shooting and I would like to thank our local communities for their help in providing us with vital information.”<\/p>\n
