The <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/best-things-to-do-london\/\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/best-things-to-do-london\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_0\" data-category=\"click_internal\">capital city<\/a> is mere moments away from plunging into the<strong> dark depths of winter<\/strong>. And when we say dark, we (unfortunately) really do mean it. Yes, I\u2019m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this weekend marks <strong>London\u2019s final post-5pm sunset of the year<\/strong>. Dun, dun, dunnn.<\/p>\n<p>The British Summer Time is officially coming to an end. And whilst we\u2019ll be grateful for the <strong>extra hour\u2019s kip<\/strong> this weekend, the <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/clocks-changing-uk-autumn-one-hour\/\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/clocks-changing-uk-autumn-one-hour\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_1\" data-category=\"click_internal\">clocks going back<\/a> also means that London won\u2019t see a post-5pm sunset until February next year. According to data from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeanddate.com\/sun\/uk\/london\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/www.timeanddate.com\/sun\/uk\/london\" data-action=\"text_cta_2\" data-category=\"click_non_sales\">Time and Date<\/a>, this Saturday (October 25), the sun will bid farewell at <strong>5.46pm<\/strong>. The following evening (October 26), however, the sun will only be gracing London with its presence until <strong>4.44pm<\/strong>. Whilst the prospect of the <strong>days getting shorter<\/strong> is an undeniably miserable one, the temperatures aren\u2019t set to plummet just yet. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/weather\/2643743\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/weather\/2643743\" data-action=\"text_cta_3\" data-tracked=\"1\" data-category=\"click_sales\" data-cp_smn_source=\"secretldn\" data-cp_smn_content=\"last-5pm-sunset\" data-cp_smn_term=\"text_cta_3\">BBC Weather<\/a>, Londoners can expect temperatures to be hovering in the teens over the <strong>next couple of weeks<\/strong>. And look, I know it\u2019s not exactly sunbathing weather, but it\u2019s nice to know that we still have a little bit of time before we can expect to see our own breath as we huddle up on the sofa, you know?<\/p>\n<p>On another slightly brighter note, we have plenty to look forward to over the next few months. London will soon under go its <strong>annual festive makeover<\/strong>. The city will be aglow with tinsel and twinkly lights, and we\u2019ll soon be celebrating the <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/uk-best-christmas-markets-festive-getaway\/\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/uk-best-christmas-markets-festive-getaway\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_4\" data-category=\"click_internal\">most wonderful time of the year<\/a>.
