If you\u2019re in a rush and need some last-minute Fantasy Premier League (FPL) advice, here\u2019s a quick round-up of what you need to know about Gameweek 9.<\/p>\n

WHEN\u2019S THE FPL GAMEWEEK 9 DEADLINE?<\/p>\n

Be quick! All transfers and team selections need to be done by 18:30 BST on Friday 24 October<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

BUY, KEEP OR SELL?\"Buy,<\/p>\n

In this week\u2019s regular article about transfer trends<\/a>, we\u2019ve asked whether managers should give up on a few highly owned names.<\/p>\n

For example, it\u2019ll be interesting to see how long Joao Pedro<\/strong> (\u00a37.5m), Viktor Gyokeres<\/strong> (\u00a39.0m) and Tijani Reijnders<\/strong> (\u00a35.7m) remain in the template of \u2018The Great and the Good\u2019.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s forward has been awful of late, but is a unanimous Scout Squad pick<\/a> because he\u2019s about to face Sunderland. Bookmakers think the Brazilian is the most likely player to score<\/a>. At least Gyokeres \u2013 also goalless in four league games \u2013 is scoring in the Champions League<\/a> and getting lots of shots.<\/p>\n

Both he and Reijnders are backed by \u2018Goals Imminent\u2019<\/a> \u2013 the same data that correctly predicted Jean-Philippe Mateta<\/strong>\u2018s (\u00a37.6m) Gameweek 8 success.<\/p>\n

As for the Manchester City midfielder, he played only 59 minutes<\/a> versus Everton. Zophar believes it could be time to get rid<\/a>, staying away from all three in his Wildcard activation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

CHIP AWAY\"FPL<\/p>\n

Complicating the debate for others on a Gameweek 9 Wildcard<\/a> is that Chelsea and Arsenal have superb short-term fixtures, as does fellow forward Nick Woltemade<\/strong> (\u00a37.3m). His gorgeous flicked strike against Brighton and Hove Albion<\/a> made it four goals in five for this week\u2019s most-bought individual.<\/p>\n

Many managers intend to Bench Boost<\/a> because low-priced Burnley and Leeds United defenders are about to face the bottom two sides. Shut-outs are possible<\/a>. Meanwhile, cheap forwards Marc Guiu<\/strong> (\u00a34.3m) and Eli Junior Kroupi<\/strong> (\u00a34.5m) look likely to start, as a reward for their recent goals.<\/p>\n

But owners of hurt defender Joachim Andersen<\/strong> (\u00a34.5m)<\/a> will either have to sell him or postpone using this chip. Pro Pundit Lateriser is one of those. He\u2019s eyeing up another upcoming Gameweek<\/a>, especially now that doubts have been raised over Gabriel Magalhaes<\/strong>\u2018 (\u00a36.4m) status.<\/p>\n

DYCHE AT FOREST\"FPL<\/p>\n

Could it even be time to back a Nottingham Forest rejuvenation under new boss Sean Dyche<\/a>? After all, they beat Porto on Thursday night<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So much was expected of the Tricky Trees\u2019 defence because of last season\u2019s heroics, but popular pre-season picks have yet to keep a domestic clean sheet.<\/p>\n

Indeed, considering Nikola Milenkovic <\/strong>(\u00a35.3m) and Murillo<\/strong> (\u00a35.3m) would\u2019ve been their position\u2019s two highest-scoring 2024\/25 players<\/a> had defensive contribution (DefCon) points been taken into account, they\u2019re hardly picking any up. This is despite there being far more Premier League DefCon points than at this stage last time<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Approach Forest with caution.<\/p>\n

BEST FPL GAMEWEEK 9 CAPTAIN\"Who<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, Erling Haaland<\/strong> (\u00a314.7m) is the recommended armband recipient of our Captain Sensible study<\/a>. So far, his season has included 24 goals in just 14 matches for club and country.<\/p>\n

Bruno Fernandes<\/strong> (\u00a38.9m) is in second place, with Antoine Semenyo<\/strong> (\u00a38.1m) completing the podium.<\/p>\n
