The Swiss winger was back in the starting XI after missing the defeat to Burnley with an adductor issue, but could only last 45 minutes.

MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES

Now Farke has given an update on their condition.

Photo by Mike Morese/MI News/NurPhoto via Getty ImagesDaniel Farke gives Gabriel Gudmundsson and Noah Okafor injury updates

Gudmundsson had enjoyed a strong performance against West Ham, finding plenty of room to attack down the left. It was his tenacious attacking play that won the corner Rodon scored from.

Sadly, however, the Swede limped off before the break and Farke doesn’t appear to have much clarity on the injury at the moment.

Speaking after the game in his post-match press conference, Farke simply said: “Between back and leg, seemed pretty painful.”

On Okafor, Farke revealed his substitution wasn’t pre-planned, as some had hoped, but it’s not yet clear if he has suffered a relapse of his injury.

He added: “Not pre-planned, but let’s see how he goes. Was a really difficult week. Pretty happy.”

Daniel Farke on Leeds United performance vs West Ham

Farke also gave his assessment of the performance. Though Leeds dominated the first half, they failed to increase their tally and left themselves vulnerable.

West Ham came back into things after the break and threatened to get level, which would have been a disaster.

However, Farke seems pleased with the night’s work. He said: “It’s never easy to win a Premier League game.

“We had a difficult week. Even after our press conference, we struggled so much with illnesses in the camp and players were just back with injuries.

“Stach had another hit against his rib. It was difficult today to find such a balance and find the right mix. We started very brave and deserved to lead 2-0.

“We had way more control in other games. Second half, we started way better in terms of control. Missed a bit to score a goal and in the last 20 minutes you could see the struggles we had.

“Nervous last four minutes but nevertheless priceless first points.”

Daniel Farke has provided updates on Gabriel Gudmundsson and Noah Okafor after they went off injured in Leeds…

[4100
1385,94,80358,121657,79,16,15
0":"post-526441","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-football","8":"tag-daniel-farke","9":"tag-football","10":"tag-gabriel-gudmundsson","11":"tag-noah-okafor","12":"tag-sports","13":"tag-uk","14":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
