already decided to \u2018turn\u2019 to \u2018two\u2019 replacements for Mohamed Salah, who have been chosen for two reasons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/tag\/mohamed-salah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Salah<\/strong> <\/a>has faced heavy criticism at the start of this campaign as his form has drastically declined since he was the best player in the Premier League last season.<\/p>\n<p>The veteran forward arguably had his best individual season for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/liverpool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Liverpool<\/strong> <\/a>in 2024\/25, though he has been a shadow of his best self at the start of this season.<\/p>\n<p>Salah has been on the periphery for most of Liverpool\u2019s games as he\u2019s struggled to make an impact, with Trent Alexander-Arnold\u2019s summer move to Real Madrid and the club\u2019s \u00a3400m+ summer overhaul seemingly impacting his performances.<\/p>\n<p>This has fuelled speculation regarding Salah\u2019s future at Liverpool and there have been some calls for Arne Slot\u2019s side to replace him in January or next summer.<\/p>\n<p>Sources say that Semenyo and Gordon are highly rated by Liverpool\u2019s recruitment team, who are impressed by the penetration they offer to their clubs as well as their ability to claims<\/a> the Reds have opted to \u2018turn their attention to two Premier League stars to replace Salah\u2019, with their eyes on Newcastle United\u2019s Anthony Gordon and AFC Bournemouth\u2019s Antoine Semenyo.<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool are said to be \u2018keeping tabs\u2019 on Gordon and Semenyo as they \u2018plot another mega-money forward signing\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The report adds:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018Sources say that Semenyo and Gordon are highly rated by Liverpool\u2019s recruitment team, who are impressed by the penetration they offer to their clubs as well as centre-back, though they face competition from several European sides.<\/p>\n<p>Still, another report from Football Insider says they \u2018plan to accelerate a move to sign world-class Guehi in January\u2019, with former Premier League chief scout Mick Brown claiming that they \u201ccould try to get it done\u201d in the winter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLiverpool don\u2019t look as defensively stable as they were last year,\u201d Brown told Football Insider.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVan Dijk has been out of form, and they\u2019re still not completely sure about Konate\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s obviously been a hell of a lot of talk about Marc Guehi, they missed out in the summer and now there\u2019s all sorts of clubs having a look at him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt first, it seemed like a certainty that he would go to Liverpool in January, but that doesn\u2019t seem to be the case at the moment because he\u2019s got these other options.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s no surprise that the likes of Real Madrid are in for him now, he\u2019s England\u2019s starting centre-back and he\u2019s going to be available for free.
