The clocks go back an hour this weekend and in recognition of the darker nights, Umbrella Vinyl on Valleyfield Street is running Sunshine Sundays on the first Sunday of each month until spring.<\/p>\n

The afternoons will be full of good music and the shop will be transformed into an \u201cuplifting tropical escape\u201d.<\/p>\n

Laura Thomson, co-owner of Umbrella Vinyl,\u00a0said: \u201cThe days are getting shorter and darker, so we wanted to offer people a bright, fun haven.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the first Sunday of the winter months,\u00a0we\u2019ll be playing feel-good, sun-soaked tunes only.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMusic has a profound effect on people\u2019s mood and wellbeing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSunshine Sundays will offer a simple remedy to winter gloom \u2013 good vibes, great music and a splash of sunshine right in the heart of Edinburgh.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCustomers will be transported to sunnier climes \u2013 no passport required.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Umbrella Vinyl team owners, Laura, Josh and Nick, will be playing Latin, Calypso, Afrobeat and more on Sunshine Sundays, and the shop will be decked out accordingly.<\/p>\n
