<\/p>\n Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who left the royal fold in 2020, are reportedly ‘desperate’ to reconnect<\/a> with Kate Middleton. Harry, who last saw Middleton during King Charles\u2019 coronation in May 2023, has not met her since despite her health scare. According to a royal source, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now making a desperate effort to \u2018trigger a truce\u2019 with the Prince and Princess of Wales.<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n As per The New York Times,<\/a> the source revealed that Markle and Harry have messaged <\/a>Middleton after she announced her cancer diagnosis in March. The insider claimed, \u201cMeghan\u2019s desperate to come across as the bigger person and end this feud between them \u2014 appearing like some sort of royal savior could only do her image good.\u201d They added, \u201cWhen Kate gets back into action, their hope is that it might take some of the heat off them and possibly trigger a truce with her and William, and with the King, too.\u201d<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The outlet also reports that Harry only saw his father, Charles, once in February 2024. He did not meet any of his other family members during his three-day trip to London last May or recently on April 8-9, when he arrived home for his court hearing. After Middleton came under fire for editing her picture for a 2024 Mother\u2019s Day post, Harry allegedly asked Markle to \u2018reach out\u2019 to her. An insider told OK! magazine<\/a>, \u201cHarry thinks it might be the perfect time for Meghan to reach out to Kate because she knows what it\u2019s like to come under fire from the public and the press.\u201d They added, \u201cHarry wants his family to return to the UK, and he knows that the only way that will happen is if Meghan can repair her fractured relationship with Kate.\u201d<\/p>\n Article continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Princess of Wales announced her battle with cancer on March 22, last year. However, Kensington Palace didn’t reveal what type of cancer it was. As reported by The Irish Star,<\/a> the Sussexes’ get-well-soon message for her read, \u201cWe wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.\u201d However, the thoughtful gesture reportedly backfired and left Prince William \u2018furious\u2019<\/a>.
