Part of a shop has been severely damaged following a devastating fire in Bury<\/a> which saw a man treated for burns<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Images show the back of Hair Rocks, on The Rock, charred and wrecked following a blaze<\/a> on Saturday afternoon (October 25).<\/p>\n

Crews were called out to the scene at 2.15pm and worked into the evening, with a cordon in place on the busy town centre street.<\/p>\n

The shop was evacuated and a man was treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) says.<\/p>\n

Firefighters were in attendance for around four hours in total.<\/p>\n

The rear of the building appears to have suffered considerable damage from the fire, with charred debris remaining outside the shop.<\/p>\n

An area remains taped off to the back of the building, while there is also tape to the front of the shop.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson forGMFRS said: \u201cAt around 2:15pm yesterday (Saturday, October 25), firefighters attended a fire at a commercial premises at the Rock in Bury.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and breaking in gear to extinguish the fire.<\/p>\n

“One male casualty suffering from smoke inhalation and minor burns received oxygen therapy from fire service personnel.<\/p>\n

“All the neighbouring premises have now reopened for business.<\/p>\n
