I lived there for eight years and I loved that flat. I have the most amazing memories there. Rolls and Rems was a fabric shop round the corner where I bought my first fabrics for my first clients. From Harry Styles to Beyoncé, everything was bought from that little shop.

I was a studio intern for Phoebe English in Deptford. The commute was an hour and a half but I absolutely adore her and I learned so much.

Where would you recommend for a first date?

If it’s spring or summer, the V&A because I love getting a coffee and sitting out in the garden looking at the water. There’s always something to talk about because there’s so much to see. Jewels and art — contemporary, baroque and classic — it’s a safe bet.

Which shops do you rely on?

Liberty London for any cosmetic needs. It has an amazing array of perfumes and skincare. I also buy great stuff from dive places, including Retro Woman in Notting Hill. It’s where I bought my first designer pieces when I moved to London. And the Old Cinema in Chiswick for furniture, jewellery and designer handbags. It’s a real hidden gem.

Sarah Brick

What’s the best meal you’ve had?

Brat. An old friend of mine from the States and I had the soft-shell blue crab, flatbreads and incredible organic wine. That was also the night I realised I was allergic to shellfish because after eating the best, buttery, delicious crab legs, my face broke out in hives.

What would you do if you were Mayor for the day?

I’d have a gender swap day where everyone would have to dress as the opposite gender. I think it would make society more forgiving and understanding and people would learn a lot about themselves.

Who is the most iconic Londoner?

Zandra Rhodes, because she’s such a massive part of culture in London. She looks incredible and she’s still just being her iconic self. And her apartment is beyond insane.

What’s the best thing a cabbie has ever said to you?

One cabbie didn’t realise I was American until the end of a 45-minute trip from the airport. I’m so embarrassed about my Valley accent that I was so happy he thought I was a full-fledged Brit.

Have you ever had a run in with a police officer?

In my uni days, I probably ran once or twice from a house party. I have really long legs and what I’ve realised in life is that you don’t have to be the fastest runner, just not the slowest!

Where do you let your hair down?

To literally let my hair down, I go to Ayana Spa in Holland Park. They do amazing massages at a great price. I frequent that place probably four times a month with all the travelling I do.

Who do you call when you want to have fun?

Florence Pugh. That girl knows where the good drinks are and you are always going to laugh the night away.

Dave Benett

What’s your biggest extravagance?

My Dash water subscription. It’s my obsession. My fridge looks like a Kardashian’s.

What’s your London secret?

Dressing up can get you into anywhere. If you look and act the part, you can sneak into any members’ club, party or event. Act the part and don’t let anyone stop you!

Iman. When I went to the Met Gala with her the first time, she changed my life. Not just because of what it did for my career, but she was so strong, steadfast and iconic. She gave me so much wisdom and insight and strength.

Vintage jewellery. Especially vintage rings — Georgian and Edwardian pieces. I’m also a collector of knick-knacks that my husband thinks we don’t need in our house. We have six blown-glass coral table toppers.

What’s your favourite work of art?

Anytime they do a Francis Bacon exhibition in London it’s my favourite.

What’s your top grooming spot?

Josh Wood in W11. He’s the man who changed me from a brunette to a redhead. Everyone in that salon is like family and they make me so happy.

Holland Park — I live there with my husband and it’s our little Oscar Wilde/Wes Anderson palace.
