Leeds United\u2019s season looks to be getting back on track after recent frustrating results in their battle for survival after last season\u2019s promotion.<\/strong><\/p>\n Daniel Farke\u2019s side beat West Ham 2-1<\/a> on Friday night, gaining an addition three points on a potential relegation rival despite still being in the season\u2019s early stages.<\/p>\n Leeds have now moved up to 15th in the Premier League, with six points separating them from Nottingham Forest<\/a> in 18th as things stand ahead of their clash with Bournemouth<\/a>.<\/p>\n Despite their recent inconsistent results, there is a growing feeling that their big for survival will require investment to bolster their squad in the January transfer window.<\/p>\n As a result, Football Insider<\/strong>\u00a0revealed last month that\u00a0Leeds want to sign a midfielder and a winger<\/a>\u00a0in the mid-season window to strengthen in key areas.<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 25 October that Leeds want to sign Issouf Sissokho<\/a> from Maccabi Tel Aviv and have identified him as an option for January.<\/p>\n As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a><\/strong>, the 23-year-old would be very interested in a move to the Premier League should the opportunity arise and is keen to make the switch to Elland Road.<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n Impressive displays in Champions League qualifying rounds and in the Europe League have put him on Leeds\u2019 radar, and there is a growing feeling a deal would be possible.<\/p>\n Speaking on the Inside Track podcast<\/strong>, I explained: \u201cIt\u2019s an interesting link this one, I don\u2019t think there\u2019s a lot that know about Sissokho really.<\/p>\n \u201cMaybe Sissokho is an option that\u2019s come up to Leeds and could be good value for money in that respect.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s got 18 months left on his contract and I\u2019m sure the opportunity for the Mali international to move to Premier League will be something that he would very much be interested in as well.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a box-to-box midfielder, probably more of a defensive option than Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff, so let\u2019s see if Leeds do follow up their interest in January.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s a young player with huge potential.
