A man was rushed to hospital following an ‘altercation’ outside a Manchester pub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Officers descended on Wilmslow<\/a> Road, in Fallowfield<\/a>, at 11pm on Saturday night (October 25).<\/p>\n

A cordon was put in place at the junction of Wilmslow Road and Egerton Road, outside the Friendship Inn.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police<\/a> says it was called out to reports of a disturbance.<\/p>\n

The man is receiving treatment to his injuries today (Sunday), which GMP says are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.<\/p>\n

An image from the scene showed at least two police vans in attendance in the early hours of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Egerton Road was taped off at the junction with Wilmslow Road. The road later reopened.<\/p>\n

A GMP spokesperson said: “At around 11pm on Saturday, October 25, officers responded to reports of a disturbance near Wilmslow Road, Manchester.<\/p>\n

“One man was taken to hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.<\/p>\n

“They are not thought to be life-threatening or changing.”<\/p>\n
