Ellen DeGeneres<\/a> and Portia de Rossi<\/a>\u2018s life in the UK has been shrouded in mystery, but this new photo may show exactly how it\u2019s going behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

On April 22, DeGeneres <\/a>shared a super-rare snapshot of her wife, and how life in the UK is like. She shared the photo on her Instagram with the caption reading, \u201c3 things that make me happy: My Wife, A Rainbow, And my wife taking a photograph of a Rainbow.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the photo, we see Rossi taking a picture of a double rainbow outside their UK home, with their home surrounded by nature.<\/p>\n

Now, this shows a bit of a glimpse into what their daily life looks like. Amid reports of them brawling with neighbors over their property and alleged strife in their marriage, this post may be a subtle response to all of it: showing these two remain unbothered amid it all.<\/p>\n

For those who don\u2019t know, DeGeneres and Rossi met back in 2001 at a Rock the Vote concert. However, they didn\u2019t get together until 2004. When they reconnected in 2004, DeGeneres was with photographer Alexandra Hedison, and Rossi was with singer Francesca Gregorini. However, after they split with their respective partners, they started dating.<\/p>\n

They got engaged, and later married in Aug 2008<\/a>, at their former home in Beverly Hills, Calif; and have been together ever since.<\/p>\n

After Donald Trump\u2019s victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, DeGeneres and Rossi left all of their California properties<\/a> behind to move to the UK. There has been considerable speculation about the reasons behind their decision: political motivations,\u00a0avoidance of high taxes<\/a>\u00a0in California, and other factors.<\/p>\n

However, after their move, they\u2019ve allegedly found themselves in rough waters with their neighbors. Their UK neighbors spoke with DailyMail<\/a> that pair are \u201cin peril of getting on the wrong side\u201d of a high-profile member of her new neighborhood. Allegedly, DeGeneres and Rossi \u201ccommitted a \u2018technical breach\u2019\u201d when they built an extension at their new abode in what the outlet described as a \u201cplanning clash.\u201d<\/p>\n

This \u201cplanning clash\u201d has neighbors worried about a potential \u201cincrease flood risk in the village\u201d and how it may \u201cdisturb Roman remains.\u201d<\/p>\n
