Leeds United have endured a mixed start to the season so far but remain hopeful of surviving their first year back in the Premier League.<\/strong><\/p>\n Daniel Farke\u2019s side beat West Ham 2-1<\/a> on Friday night, boosting not only their confidence but also their chances of avoiding relegation this season.<\/p>\n While Leeds<\/a> picked up a huge three points, they dealt potential relegation rivals a blow in doing so, while teams are them also dropped points.<\/p>\n In the meantime, Leeds are aiming to bolster their squad in the January transfer window in an effort to increase their odds of staying up with Farke<\/a> at the helm.<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 25 October that Leeds are interested in signing Issouf Sissokho<\/a> to strengthen their options in the middle of the park.<\/p>\n The likes of Anton Stach<\/a> and Sean Longstaff<\/a> arrived during the summer, but there is a feeling a new addition may be necessary as an alternative.<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong> previously revealed that Farke is aiming to strengthen his Leeds squad<\/a> in the January transfer window to improve their odds of survival.<\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n However, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a><\/strong>, Leeds are pushing the limits of their profit and sustainability allowance and may be heavily restricted from doing business in the mid-season window.<\/p>\n This comes alongside Leeds\u2019 interest in Sissokho, as Leeds may be forced to cash in on other players before spending on reinforcements.<\/p>\n Speaking on the Inside Track podcast<\/strong>, I explained: \u201cMaybe Sissokho is an option that\u2019s come up to Leeds and could be good value for money in that respect.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s got 18 months left on his contract at Maccabi and I\u2019m sure the opportunity for the Mali international to move to Premier League will be something that he would very much be interested in as well.<\/p>\n \u201cI think a deal will be hard to do due to Leeds were pretty much maxed out on their PSR and FFP in the summer window when they spent heavily on a number of players as well.<\/p>\n \u201cSo it might mean that players might need to be moved on if they are to bring any new signings in like Sissokho, but he\u2019s a young player with huge potential.<\/p>\n \u201cAs I said, Leeds are obviously keeping tabs on them.
