The kids are off school and it’s Halloween week, and with plenty of us planning some family time this week it’s important to make sure you’re fully prepared for what the weather<\/a> has in store.<\/p>\n Whether it’s to make sure you’re ready for trick or treating<\/a> or if you’re trying to suss out the best day to visit a pumpkin patch<\/a>, it’s a good shout to make sure you’ve got your umbrella and big coat with you this week.<\/p>\n Irish forecaster Met Eireann has warned that the current spell of unpredictable conditions looks set to continue – and it is currently tracking a monster Atlantic system<\/a> that could become Ireland’s next named storm of the season.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Ireland faces weather cocktail chaos as forecaster issues Halloween storm alert<\/a>READ MORE: 14 fun things to do in NI this Halloween half-term<\/a><\/p>\n While there is still some uncertainty about its path and intensity, the national forecaster has flagged Thursday – the day before Halloween<\/a> – as the potential day of impact.<\/p>\n Here’s what you can expect from the weather in Northern Ireland<\/a> this week:<\/p>\n Monday, October 27<\/p>\n The odd shower possible in the northeast but otherwise dry and bright on Monday morning with light winds. Rain spreading east in the evening. Maximum temperature 11 C.<\/p>\n Tuesday, October 28<\/p>\n Tuesday will see lengthy sunny spells in the morning, turning cloudier later in the day. A few showers will move in from the west through the day. Maximum temperature 12 C.<\/p>\n Wednesday, October 29<\/p>\n Wednesday will see areas of low cloud in the morning but turning largely dry and sunny in the afternoon. Easing winds. Maximum temperature 11 C.<\/p>\n Thursday, October 30<\/p>\n Variable cloud overnight into Thursday but staying dry. Turning wet and windy later later. Maximum temperature 12 C.<\/p>\n Friday, October 31<\/p>\n Light rain and a gentle breeze. Maximum temperature 12 C.<\/p>\n The long-range weather forecast from the Met Office<\/a> for the UK from October 31 to November 9 reads: “The end of October and first part of November is likely to be changeable with low pressure patterns tending to dominate, bringing spells of unsettled weather across the UK.<\/p>\n “This will mean showers or longer periods of rain will spread across most parts of the UK during this period.<\/p>\n “Some heavy rain is possible in all regions, but the largest totals will probably be across western areas.
