A mountain rescue team was called to recover the individual from Coed Bryn-Engan near Capel Curig, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailypost.co.uk\/all-about\/conwy\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Conwy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"northwales\">The discovery was made on Thursday, October 23. Few details have been revealed and the gender of the person has not been disclosed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"northwales\">Twenty members of Ogwen <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailypost.co.uk\/all-about\/valley\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Valley<\/a> Mountain Rescue Organisation were deployed to the area following a request from by <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailypost.co.uk\/all-about\/north-wales-police\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">North Wales Police<\/a>. They were joined by members of the Welsh Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"northwales\">In an initial log of the incident, OVMRO said: \u201cNorth Wales Police called to request assistance with retrieval of a body found in the area of Coed Bryn Engan. A small team deployed from base and met with NWP and WAST. The casualty was transported to the roadside and transferred to a private ambulance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"northwales\">Coed Bryn-Engan sits above the southern edge of Llynnau Mymbyr and stretches across to the A5, bounded by Afon Llugwy and its tributaries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"northwales\">A near neighbour is the Plas y Brenin National Outdoor Centre, whose students use the twins lakes for watersports. <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailypost.co.uk\/news\/north-wales-news\/join-north-wales-live-whatsapp-27935216\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Sign up now for the latest news on the North Wales Live Whatsapp community<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"northwales\">Paths through Coed Bryn-Engan lead to the summit of 2,860ft Moel Siabod, a peak in the Moelwynion range that\u2019s among the most prominent in Eryri.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"northwales\">The woodland, in the western extremity of Gwydyr Forest, is familiar to visitors driving to <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailypost.co.uk\/all-about\/yr-wyddfa\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)<\/a>.
