I\u2019m getting the Due Diligence pack this week, so we\u2019ll see what kind of state the finances are in, which will be super interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"640\" width=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Barney-Hussey-Yeo_Cleo2-1.jpg\" alt=\"Barney Hussey Yeo speaking at Cleo2 event, highlighting key business strategies and trends in the industry.\" class=\"wp-image-2373516\"  \/>Sheffield Wednesday future<\/p>\n<p>The club cannot be sold by the administrators <a href=\"https:\/\/www.begbies-traynorgroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Begbies Traynor<\/a> within 21 days, and neither can the club be in administration for more than 18 months.<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield Wednesday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityam.com\/sheffield-wednesday-what-happens-next-as-administrators-called-in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">were handed a 12-point deduction<\/a> due to their administration filing, leaving them adrift at the bottom of the second-tier Championship by 14 points.<\/p>\n<p>The straight-talking fintech maverick cites Derby County as a recent example of a club which could represent a ballpark figure for purchase \u2013 it was sold to David Clowes for \u00a318m with the administrators charged over \u00a33m \u2013 while admitting the likelihood is that Sheffield will be in League One next season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not a multi-billionaire,\u201d Cleo founder Hussey-Yeo adds, \u201cI\u2019m in the low hundreds so I don\u2019t want to be that person trying to fund something unsustainable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been a Sheffield Wednesday fan since I was born, it is in my blood and it is an incredible city.
