Road closures remain in place<\/p>\n

A cyclist was injured in a collision<\/a> with a van in the city centre<\/a> of Bristol this evening (Monday, October 27).<\/p>\n

Avon and Somerset Police<\/a> were called to Counterslip, in Redcliffe<\/a>, at the junction with Victoria Street at around 5pm.<\/p>\n

A van and a cyclist were involved in the crash at the junction.<\/p>\n

The cyclist was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.<\/p>\n

Police remain at the scene this evening conducting enquiries, and a number of road closures are in effect.<\/p>\n

The junctions with St Thomas Street East, Redcliffe Street and Temple Street are closed.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We were called at around 5pm to Counterslip, in the Redcliffe area of Bristol, today (Monday, October 27) to a collision involving a cyclist and a van.<\/p>\n

“The cyclist has been taken to hospital, where their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life changing.<\/p>\n

“Road closures on Counterslip and Victoria Street remain in place while enquiries are ongoing.<\/p>\n

“If you were in the area and witnessed the collision, please call 101 and quote reference 5225301352.”<\/p>\n

TravelWEST advised motorists to “plan ahead, use alternative routes and expect delays”.<\/p>\n
