Train services to and from Glasgow Central station<\/a> have been majorly distrupted this evening after a swan was on the tracks.<\/p>\n

ScotRail<\/a>, Avanti West Coast and TransPennine Express trains have been all been affected with services cancelled, delayed or revised.<\/p>\n

First reports of “animals on the track” were made just after 5.30pm on Monday evening, October 27.<\/p>\n

Network Rail<\/a> shortly after sent a response team to the station to help retrieve the swan from the tracks as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

The transport authority later posted a picture of the swan, saying: “A photograph of the culprit.”<\/p>\n

Trains had to move at a reduced speed to keep the swan out of harm’s way.<\/p>\n

The animal was safely removed from the track around an hour later and now authorities are trying to get services back up an running.<\/p>\n

ScotRail posted on X: “Good news, the swan has been moved and is now safely away from the railway. It’s a little distressed, but recovering well.<\/p>\n

“Thank you for your patience, we really do appreciate it.
