Only Murders in the Building<\/a> for a sixth season on October 28. Like the seasons before it, the upcoming season will be ten episodes. Unlike the previous seasons, it will find the main characters heading overseas, landing them in London. Will Gomez\u2019s Mabel like beans on toast? Will Short\u2019s Oliver enjoy the West End? And will Martin\u2019s Charles-Haden be recognized for his work in Brazzos across the pond?<\/p>\nThe renewal comes on the day of season five\u2019s finale. The main trio ends their season by listening to a podcast by Cinda Canning (Tina Fey), who is diving into a U.K.-based mystery surrounding \u201ca young woman with curls as red as blood, steeped amid the London fog, the prime suspect in the murder of a royal descendant.\u201d Canning says she believes the girl is innocent, even sending her to America for safety. Then, the show cuts to a young woman who fits the description dying right outside the Arconia, slipping her hand into their gate so Mabel, Oliver, and Charles\u00a0will be able to investigate her death under their titular rule.<\/p>\n
The past season featured a cavalcade of stars, with Oscar winners Meryl Streep and Da\u2019Vine Joy Randolph returning and two-time Oscar winners including Ren\u00e9e Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, and Dianne Wiest being added to the recurring cast. At this point, the show will have to cast Emma Stone, Adrien Brody, and the ghost of Katharine Hepburn to get any more prestigious.<\/p>\n
