Going away may be exciting but it can also be stressful, with some airports being notorious for delays. But it&#8217;s perhaps surprising to learn that it&#8217;s not necessarily the biggest and most busy airports that are the very worst for holding up your travel plans.<\/p>\n<p>Experts at <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.northerner.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Northerner<\/a> analysed data to help determine which are the worst airports when it comes to delays. They looked at the total minutes of pre-departure delays from 2020 to 2025 and then divided them by the number of reported departures to obtain an average delay time in minutes for each airport.<\/p>\n<p>Luxembourg may be a magical place to visit but the country\u2019s airport was declared the worst in Europe when it comes to delays.
