Sebastiaan Bornauw will be wondering what he\u2019s done wrong as he struggles for minutes at Leeds United.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 26-year-old joined the Whites in the summer from VfL Wolfsburg for around \u00a35.1million to strengthen the squad in LS11.<\/p>\n

Bornauw\u2019s time at Elland Road has been underwhelming<\/a>, with the Belgium international featuring just once for the West Yorkshire outfit in the Carabao Cup loss to Sheffield Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke has a defensive rock in Joe Rodon<\/a>, with Pascal Struijk his other preferred centre-back, leaving little room for other defenders to get an opportunity.<\/p>\n

With the 2026 World Cup coming up, it wouldn\u2019t be surprising to see Bornauw<\/a> already demand an exit from the West Yorkshire outfit.<\/p>\n

The defender may force the Peacocks\u2019 hand into sending him on loan, as he may look to revive his career elsewhere and get back in contention for a place in the Red Devils\u2019 squad.<\/p>\n

Farke has also been reluctant to play Jaka Bijol<\/a>, with the Slovenia international undoubtedly unhappy with how things have developed in LS11.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old did start for the West Yorkshire outfit in the 2-1 win over West Ham United, making a case to be a regular starter under the German manager.<\/p>\n

Bornauw may help Leeds sign Anderlecht midfielder Mario Stroeykens<\/a>, with the centre-back\u2019s father the new CEO of the Belgian outfit.<\/p>\n

Before the Whites make any decision on the defender, they should use the relationship with the Jupiler Pro League outfit to get a deal over the line for the 21-year-old.<\/p>\n

While fans in LS11 will empathise with Bornauw due to his lack of opportunities in West Yorkshire, Rodon and Struijk have proven to be a reliable partnership.<\/p>\n

The Peacocks are in a relegation battle right now, and Farke should pick the best eleven at his disposal, which currently doesn\u2019t include the Belgium international.<\/p>\n
