We are looking forward to continuing with negotiations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A Unite spokesperson said: \u201cUnite is continuing to engage in intensive talks with the council on behalf our members in the refuse service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;No resolution has yet been reached but Unite has put forward a range of fair and reasonable solutions to bring this dispute to an end.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Earlier, Health Secretary Wes Streeting warned about the public health situation in Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cI certainly am concerned about the public health situation and the poor conditions we\u2019re seeing for people in Birmingham,\u201d he told Times Radio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cAs the bin bags are piling up, we see rats and other vermin crawling around.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cThat\u2019s not good for public health. I think this dispute has escalated way out of hand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He said it is \u201ctotally unacceptable\u201d that the dispute has seen bin lorries blocked from leaving the depot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He said: \u201cI understand industrial disputes happen. I understand people have the right to withdraw their labour.
