{"id":534835,"date":"2025-10-29T06:14:18","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T06:14:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/534835\/"},"modified":"2025-10-29T06:14:18","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T06:14:18","slug":"github-is-launching-a-hub-for-multiple-ai-coding-agents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/534835\/","title":{"rendered":"GitHub is launching a hub for multiple AI coding agents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">GitHub is giving developers <a href=\"https:\/\/github.blog\/news-insights\/company-news\/welcome-home-agents\/?utm_source=twitter-amp-day1-keynote-blog&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=universe25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">access to third-party AI coding agents<\/a> with the launch of a new \u201cAgent HQ.\u201d Instead of just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/669339\/github-ai-coding-agent-fix-bugs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">using GitHub Copilot<\/a>, developers will get to try OpenAI\u2019s Codex, Anthropic\u2019s Claude, Google\u2019s Jules, xAI, and Cognition\u2019s Devin within GitHub in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Developers with a GitHub Copilot subscription will be able to access a new \u201cmission control\u201d dashboard, where they can control, manage, and track multiple AI coding agents. \u201cWith the new set of AI controls, we\u2019re providing a control plane for all of the agent use on GitHub, whether you\u2019re using the GitHub coding agent or one of our partners\u2019 coding agents inside the platform,\u201d GitHub COO Kyle Daigle tells The Verge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">GitHub\u2019s new Agent HQ will also allow developers to run multiple AI agents in parallel as they complete the same task. That way, developers can choose which agent\u2019s work they like the best. Ahead of Agent HQ\u2019s official launch, GitHub is making OpenAI Codex available to Copilot Pro Plus users who are part of the VS Code Insiders program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">Additionally, GitHub is launching a few other tools, including a new Plan Mode in VS Code that uses Copilot to create a step-by-step plan for a task that its AI coding agent will later execute.
