LEWIS Capaldi has seen the cost of revamping his \u201cmoney pit\u201d mansion soar to more than \u00a31million.<\/p>\n

The rising bill is on top of the \u00a31.6million the singer, 28, forked out for the farmhouse in 2020.<\/a><\/p>\n

Plans for an extension have already been approved<\/p>\n

We told how he is due to splash \u00a3738,000 on an extension at his country home just outside Glasgow. <\/a><\/p>\n

And paperwork submitted to planning chiefs has now revealed work on a triple garage and office<\/a> is valued at \u00a3360,000. <\/p>\n

That means a total for improvements of almost \u00a31.1million.<\/p>\n

But the final tab could be even higher after the Someone You Loved star put in proposals in March to build a music studio<\/a> at the ten-acre estate.<\/p>\n

A source said last night: \u201cAt this rate he\u2019ll have spent more doing it up than he paid for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s making the place his own and it should be a good investment in the long run.\u201d<\/p>\n

Details of the latest costs emerged in a building standards warrant for the garage submitted to East Renfrewshire<\/a> Council.<\/p>\n

Lewis got permission to build it last year but needs the warrant to be approved before work can begin. <\/p>\n

He snapped up the rural property after fellow chart-topper Ed Sheeran scoured the internet looking for a place for him<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But after moving in, he complained it was a \u201chell hole\u201d and \u201cmoney pit\u201d.<\/p>\n

But he is said to be close to a return.<\/a><\/p>\n
