{"id":535313,"date":"2025-10-29T11:19:18","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T11:19:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/535313\/"},"modified":"2025-10-29T11:19:18","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T11:19:18","slug":"putin-more-dug-in-than-ever-on-war-in-ukraine-nbc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/535313\/","title":{"rendered":"Putin \u2018More Dug In Than Ever\u2019 on War in Ukraine \u2013 NBC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. intelligence assesses that Russian President Vladimir Putin is more determined than ever to continue the war in Ukraine, NBC News<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/white-house\/us-intelligence-agencies-see-no-sign-russia-ready-compromise-ukraine-rcna239645\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> reported<\/a> Wednesday, citing two senior U.S. and congressional officials.<\/p>\n<p>Disclosed privately to lawmakers sometime in October, the analysis found no indication that Putin is prepared to compromise even as U.S. President Donald Trump has sought to broker peace talks.<\/p>\n<p>The anonymous officials told the broadcaster that Putin is seen as \u201cdug in\u201d in his commitment to expand Russia\u2019s control over Ukrainian territory despite heavy battlefield losses and deepening domestic economic strain.<\/p>\n<p>A White House spokesperson, declining to comment directly on the assessment, said \u201cpermanent peace depends on Russia\u2019s willingness to negotiate in good faith.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They added that Trump hopes his recent decision to sanction Russian oil giants Rosneft and Lukoil \u201cwill help bring about the end of the war.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has been clear that it is time to stop the killing and make a deal to end the war,\u201d the White House official was quoted as saying.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Kremlin has dismissed the sanctions as political pressure.
